I have just bought a log cabin that is about 30 years old. The interior wood needs to be restored because it has become quite dark in some places and its very dirty. I would prefer not to sand because of the huge task and so I have looked at glass blasting but not sure if it fits in with my budget. Is there a natural wood paint that I could use to lighten or tone the wood without first sanding or blasting it. Or do you recommend using an electric planer to clean the wood surface with. Many Thank

You do not want to blast. It will be way more messy than sanding and the surface is not desirable for an interior. Sanding with a palm sander that has a vacuum attachment is best. The other option is to apply a light color solid stain, but it looks like paint.
