My home was built in the late 70’s of milled round logs manufactured in Bozeman, Montana. It has been sandblasted and will be sanded in preparation for staining. The logs are either fir or pine. Is there a way to tell which they are? The gable ends are tongue and groove pine and the garage doors are cedar. I would like all parts of the house to show the gold of the logs with the wood grain and knots to show up brown rather than red. Please advise me regarding staining to blend these diffe
