I am intersted in purchasing a 28 year old 3 X 7” double tongue in groove cedar log house in need of a complete exterior refinish. The detached garage is cedar siding. A contractor has informed me they can not be sandblasted as the finish will be ruined, so needs sanding – which will be laborious and expensive. Can cedar be sanblasted or cob blasted, or is sanding the only way to strip & refinish? Do you know of any contractors in Northern Alberta, Canada?
