What is the best one coat application process stain/sealer available today?

I would never use any one coat process. You will end up spending just as much for the stain over time, if not more,doing multiple applications and spend a whole lot of extra time. You need to go with a good quality log home stain that is latex based and has a clear coat top coat. I like Perma Chink Ultra 2.
