I am looking at buying a 1980s log home. It looks like is was built with rough hunne logs, there are are a great deal of ”ledges” where logs dont match width’s with the above or below logs, possible area for water to sit. There is some settling that has open gaps on all the walls, need sealing as logs appear very dried out. Seems like this is a long term fixer upper.
