I have a tongue and groove knotty pine ceiling in our great room. It is four years old and I am starting to see small areas random through the ceiling having white powdery patches appear. Any idea what this is caused by and how do I eliminate this issue?

May be some moisture in the wood. Try mixing a gallon of warm water and 1/4 cup of bleach and wiping areas. It may or may not come back. Call Timeless Wood Care at 800-564-2987. They have a product for mold also.
