We have a log cabin in central CA and have quite a problem with wood peckers damaging the logs, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, they’re ruining the logs.
Try hanging a couple of big plastic owls withglass eyes from the overhangs with wire in the areas that are affected. You can get them at mostgood hardware stores or feed supply stores. They will work for quite a while but you should move them a little every 6 month so the woodpeckers do not get accustomed to them.
