I recently purchased a log home, built from a kit in 1988 (New England Log Home). My main concern is the presence of carpenter ants, mice, lady bugs, and a few wood bees. Carpenter ants are located in an area that has evidence of both roof leakage and mice droppings. We called an exterminator and he has suggested spraying and baiting quarterly. Based on other comments posted, is spraying recommended?

Spraying is fine, but based on what you have said it sounds like you have some log rot going on. Carpenter ants are only around when there is wet, rotten wood. Call ryan at 877-788-5647 for log rot help.
