i have just bought a brand new cabin. i ‘trying to find the right stain, and my brother told me about some kind of bug solution to add to stain . so i can keep bee and other pest away.. i want to find a natural stain i want to see the grain of the wood.. can you help i dont want to mess up i live in north georgia thanks
I like to use the Perma Chink products. There is an additive that you can put in the stain for bugs. It will not give you much control for carpenter bees. It also works best when the logs are clean so they need to be washed a couple of times a year for best results. I am not sure how long the chemical really stays active also. You should also have the logs Borate treated before staining. That will give youthe best bug control and help stop log rot.
