I live in Mississippi and own a cypres log home. I have several questions… What is difference in corn blasting & pressure washing!? Can you put a sealer on cypres logs? I have been told no by several(not experts) they needed to breathe.
Power washing will drive water deep into the wood fiber and will not dry our properly in time to stain before dirt and pollen gather on the logs. Corn cob blasting is a dry process and can be (and should be) stain immediately. If you use a latex stain like Perma Chink Life Line that is a breathable surface you will be fine. I have stained cypress many times with no problems.
