we purchased a new log home package from coventry log homes. they are really good folks to work with. i know from working with wood that cypress is better for logs, but they only use eastern white pine logs. they recommend perma-chink stain. even though the logs are EWP, shouldn’t i get years and years of life in these logs by using perma-chink stain and what would i need to do to get maximine life from these logs?
