I have purched a log cabin built around 1860.
The logs have been painted green. What can I do to restore the logs?

You should have them corncob blasted to remove the paint and then stain them with a good quality log home stain. You should also borate treat them after the blasting process. If there is chinking I would also recommend installing new latex chink.
