What type and brand of stain do you recommend for log siding and for a pressure treated deck?

Any deck stain is good for only about 2 years since they are flat to the weather and sun. If you want a solid deck stain I like Sherwin Williams Deckscapes. If you want a semi-transparent I like to use Endure from Perma Chink.
