We bought a pine log house approx. 25 yrs. old. The interior has never been stained, etc. and has old water stains in different areas. How do we get rid of them? Also, next to the stove the logs are full of grease. How do we clean that off? The stove has since been relocated. Thank you!

Sanding is the only good method for the interior. You may not be able to get the water or grease stains out. Sometimes they are so deep you can not sand them out without disfiguring the log. Corn cob blasting the interior is not a good option since it does not leave a desirable finish for the interior.
