Corn blasted our yellow pine log cabin 5 yrs ago. Left the logs very rough (were smooth, which I prefer) Stained with TimberOx. Now logs are very dark. Prefer a honey color. Any suggestions?
You will have to blast again to remove the Timber-Ox. This time after blasting go over it with Osborne brushes to get a smoother finish at the end. Sanding after blasting will give you the smoothest finish, but be careful not to get it too smooth or you could get peeling. I would push you towards a good latex stain made for log homes.
