I have a log home that was originally built form a kit by my father in the early 80’s. I remember him treating the logs when I was a kid but I don’t think that anything has been done to them in 15+ years. I want to preserve the home and make it a rental property. If it has been that long since it has been cared for it will need to be corn cob blasted, borate treated, probably caulked completely, and then stained. Also check for rotted logs and get replaced first.
