I won a factory log cedar home. I am planning to restain this year. Is there a product that can be applied after staining that will waterproof the log? My sill log extends past the wall surface and is a magnet for soaking water. I am planning on flashing over the sill log with Aluminum cauling above. I just want to eliminate as much water intrusion as possible.
