We have some discoloration on the bottom couple of rows of our log home. We installed gutters last summer, but how can I tell if I need to replace the logs? Inside, they look good.

Walk around the house with a hammer tapping on the logs. You will learn the sound of good logs. When you come to rotten logs they will not have that good solid sound. Mark them with masking tape, take pictures and measure the length. Send this information to www.logrepair.com for a free estimate.
