Recently purchased a D style log home in northern michigan near Cheboygan. The logs are verticle with slines on both sides. The home was built about 30 years ago but no one knows the origin. Of course the outer wall is the inner wall as the about 4” thick. How would you replace any individual logs? Also is there a good varnish removal process or product other than a scraper or heat gun…..thanks
