Why do we use tongue and groove to build log cabins? I need this for my school homework.
Thank you!

There are many log home systems that are built with the tongue and groove on the bottom and top of the logs. This is because it is a quicker, cheaper way to assemble the house and helps keep the weather out by sealing the logs with a foam gasket in between eliminating the need for chinking. Chinking is the ”mud” between the logs that is used on a full log system style home.
