I have a 10 year old Scandinavian log home. This year many of the logs have started turning black. It’s almost like somebody flipped on a switch – all the logs turning black at the same time this spring. Starts as black dots, then whole
log turns grey/black. We’re corn blasting and re-staining-but my question is – what happened? What condition did the logs suddenly get and how do we avoid in future?
