I’m considering purchasing a log sided home built in 1990. I have no experience with this type of construction. What should I look out for and what kind of maintenance should I expect.

Any bad spots in the siding should be replaced, if any. If the stain is peeling or cracking it will have to be stripped and restained. Plan on $1 per square foot of house / per year for maintenance.
