log siding our home and trying to choose between smooth or hand hewn. we like the hand hewn look, but although both products are tongue and groove end matched, you can see the joints in the hand hewn siding. is there any thing short of planing each piece before installing to minimize the effect. Or do I have to use the smooth siding for the seams to disappear. We really like the hand hewn. What do we do? Thanks
