If you have carpenter ants eating your top log then you probably have a leak in the roof, they like wet wood. First fix the leak and see if they quit before replacing a half eaton log.

Since we do not really deal with wood floors I would recommend you call Timeless Wood Care Products. They sell everything you will need and can give you advice on how to keep your floors looking great.
You can plant and garden around your log home, just don’t plant large shrubs and trees close to the house that will block air movement and not let the logs dry out from early morning dew and rain showers.

Since you cannot strip and re-stain you should call a local pest man to see about a spray program.
