I do not know of any one, sorry. I have never seen vinyl 1/2 log siding. Definitely less maintenance, but not sure howit would look.

An anchor bolt should placed in the concrete when poured. Not sure what to tell you now. You could put L brackets on 3 or 4 sides of the post, but would not look real nice.
To hard to say without seeing it. I would recommend having a local contractor look at it.

Going to be hard, if possible at all on the rough surface. Sanding is the only good way if the stains are not to deep into the wood fiber. You could also try corn cob blasting, but very messy for interior work.

Why would you want to? I have seen it done, but usually when they are calling me to get it off. Not good for your ground water either when it leaches from the house from rain and runs on the ground.
