I purchased a log home that was built 8 years ago. The owner had an exterminator spray the exterior of the home every three months as a precautionary measure. Do I need to continue this? The only problem I’ve seen is with carpenter bees . How could I prevent the bees from trying to make nests in my wood?

Not sure where you live, but if it is in the south I would definitely continue the preventative spray regiment. There isn’t much you can do to stop the Carpenter Bees. You could ask the exterminator, but they are just about impossible to stop once they discover your house.
