our new log home was treated with wolman cleaner and then pressure washed. the norh face side was very gray and the pressure wash was set to high and the grain is raised. should we sand? when should we stain? we live in Vermont and winter is around the corner. we wonder if corn blasting should be done next year and then stain.

It might not be a bad idea to let the wood dry out forthe winter if it was hit that hard with a pressure washer. The corn cob blasting will ”fuzz” the wood upbut should clean themnicely to stain. You should wait at least a month before staining after power washing if you want to try it this fall.
