I’m considering purchasing a log house that was built in the late 60’s. The owner has painted the house. Is it difficult to remove the paint to restore the wood appearance and how expensive is the process.

Typically it needs to be glass blasted and then sanded to finish cleaning it before applying fresh stain. It can be done but unless you have lots of spare time should be hired out to a professional with the right tools to get it done in a timely fashion. Once you have it stripped down it needs to be treated with a good borate treatment and stained as soon as possible. Call Mike at 866-670-3020 for more help.
