Have a log home. the dormer, though, has regular wood siding w chinking (about 2 inches thick) between the board.It’s all rotting out and I have to replace about 10 sq ft of the siding and chinking.
Let’s say I rip the bad area out and the backing board has rotted. I can replace that, but I don’t know the next step. Someone said apply chicken wire for the chinking to stick to. I assume I put the chicken wire, then the siding, then just apply chinking.. At a loss here. I really don’t want to
