Recommended First Steps for Exterior Maintenance on a 1-Year-Old Log Rental Cabin

Keep a maintenance coat ofwhatever type of stain he used. Also, watch for fading, cracking or peeling stain and repair immediately. Do NOT fill all of the checks (cracks) in the logs unless they are allowing wind, water or bugs to enter the interior of the cabin.
