What is recommended to seal checking? We’ve been investigating Check Mate 2 – is this a good product?
Our stain didn’t take and we are having to redo the stain within a year, it looks like its chipping do we stain everything or should we ”spot” stain? Also, do we need to re borate?

First, you can only borate treat if you strip the house to bare wood. If you do not, Wash the entire house, spot sand the bad areas, apply stain to try and match back in, and then apply stain to entire house.DO NOT fill the checks. The caulk or check mate will still break from the wood allowing water in behind and cannot dry out fast enough.
