My wife and I just bought a 27 year old log home the previous owner added a room he cut through the side of the home about 5 feet from the main beam supporting the second floor.In doing this the main beam has lost a great deal of it’s support from the wall and the wall is now starting to bow by a good 3 inches between the beam and were he cut the door.My plan now is to run a steel support down through the floor to the basement to support to the second floor beam.Is their a way for me to realine
