We recently purchased an older log home. We knew the logs had not been taken care of so we had someone come in and try to get the damage taken care of. The gentleman said there was sun damage to a lot of the logs. Is there any way of doing something about the damage and possibly restoring the logs to normal?

I’m not sure if you mean the logs are rotten or not. If they are, they can be replaced with new ones. If the sun damage you are speaking of is stain failure, we could corn cob blast the old finish off, apply a borate treatment and then apply new stain and clear coat. Hope this answers your question.
