I am considering purchasing a 2700 sq ft log home built in 1997 that has been vacant for over a year. The west wall is very weathered with a lot of water stains on the inside and large cracks in the timber. Previous owner filled some of the cracks with foam insulation. Do the logs need replaced or how can we seal large cracks.
