Sequential process for chinking, cleaning, and staining logs?

need to chink, clean logs for mildew, and stain, which should I do first, I know there is time between each, how muich time between each application

It should be cleaned first. As for the chinking or staining first it depends on your taste. The chink will not be so stark if you stain ontop of it.
