We just bought a log home last fall that is about 8 years old. I notice new cracks almost everyday. Do logs crack in the summer and go back or is it falling down around me.

They crack (it is called checking) all of the time. It usually slows down after the first 3 or 4 years, but yours may be doing it due to possibly not being lived in for awhile. ??? No need to worry, and DO NOT fill them unless they are allowing wind, water or bugs to get inside.
