Once green logs are sealed like this the sap will ooze out of them for years and there really isn’t much you can do. You can try scraping it off, but the first hot sunny day they will start oozing again.
You should brush a good heavy coat of Shell Guard on them every year per the label. Keep an eye on them.

I would think that fur stripping the block, then a layer of tyvek. You might want to find out what the code is for moisture barrier in yourarea.
You should hire a structural engineer to help you with this one. Most steel companies have one on their payroll. Not sure what kind of logs you have.
The best way would be to cut about a half of an inch off from one of the log ends at a corner if it is that type of construction. Take it to a local lumber yard or saw mill for assistance.
It will contract and expand, but if you caulk or chink the exterior completely there shouldn’t be a problem. Kiln dried aill make no difference. Plan on budgeting about $1 per square foot of living space, per year, for professional maintenance.
You need to have the exterior completely chinked or caulked, depending on the type of log you have. Rule of thumb is a gap that is 3/4” or less use caulk. If it is larger use chink and a backer.
Not that I’m aware of. Try going to www.amazon.com . If you number each log before you dismantle it, then reassemble it by number. Take lots of pictures of numbers on the logs before disassembling.
