Not sure what product you used, but this is normal for a lot of latex stains. It is called ”blushing” and will stop aftera few months. If there was log end seal applyed it could cause this also.

We do not do roofs. You should be able to get a good qualified contractor in your area. Get references and check them.

Depends on what brand of stain you have. Most log home stains recommend a fresh coat of what ever their maintenance coat is every 3-5 years. If you have a heavy exposed side, normally west or south, it may need some attention more often.

Sure is. Sounds like you need to have it professionally caulked or chinked on the exterior. Your rain gutters need to be inspected during a good rain for failing areas as well.
