You should corn cob blast the old finish off. I would not recommend putting Sikkens on top off any other kind of stain.

The easiest would be to get the template from the log home dealer, if this doesn’t work try looking up other manufactures in the log home books. Look for a similar log system as yours; they should be able to supply one.

You should have the entire exterior caulked. A lot of times water can enter on entirly different end of the house and run along the logs before it finds an opening to enter.
