I would find a contractor that is willing to move it and a price, then add what ever you think you can get for it. Maybe call a realtor for some help om a price.

It is probably true that it is a little easier to install the mechanical, but why have the same maintenance on an imitation log home? White pine is more susceptible to rot. If you use white pine you need to stay on top of the maintenance.

I have never seen a major problem with the sadle notch corner look on 1/2 log siding. True, the wood does need to be good and dry.

You will have to sand the logs, but if the water stains are old like that you may not be able to get them out completely.
