Depends on how much rot whether you use full or half. Perma chink’s Life Line Stain is what you should use.

I’m sure that it is durable if maintained properly. It is like any other siding. The maintanence on this siding isvery similar to true logs. I am not aware of a milling machine. Try contacting a local sawmill.

You should deal with a local building contractor that knows the building codes for your area. Maybe get a structural engineer for the bowing walls. Get references. The only thing I can think of for insulating would be to build 2×4 walls around the interior and insulate them.

That would not be as bad since the wood is not as thick as logs and may dry out a little quicker. Water is still not good forwood. Call Mike at 866-670-3020 for help with the corn blasting.

If the gap is wider than 3/4” you will need to use Chink with a foam backer. If it is 3/4” or less you should use caulk. Call Timeless Wood Care Products at 800-564-2987 for these materials.

You will have to corn cob blast, or maybe sand blast. If there is many old coats of paint you will probably have to sand it after the blasting to finish remove all of the old paint.
