As long as you go by the label instructions on the Murphys you can clean them all you want.

Every log is going to have a different moisture reading because of different densities in the wood. You should get a DE-humidifier going in this room and when the majority of the logs are in the 18% range go for the staining.
Probably the best way is going to be to sand the walls clean. It would be hard to wash them properly inside and not get a lot of water on the floors.
It should be Osborne brushed to remove scuff marks and splinters. You should then apply a good quality borate treatment. I would recommend Shell Guard RTU. It is probably dust that got down in between the flooring during construction. You could try a couple of things to stop it. If the underside of the flooring doesn’t have a finish on it you could apply one making sure you seal up the joints in flooring real well… Read More »Archive-6438
