It will always be there. No way to remove. It’s called ”blue stain”

Not much. All wood will turn darker over time from UV. You could clean the boards and then apply a clear coat with a UV blocker in it. Perma Chink Prelude would work well, but it will not completely stop it from continuing to turn darker.

It is not necessary, but it does help keep the chinking clean.
