You will need to have it striped to apply borate. To strip, borate treat, and stain a 1,500 sq ft house would cost $14,000 +/- a thousand. Also, plan on budgeting about $1.50 per sq ft of living space/per year to keep it professionally maintained.

It is call Resin Bleed and there is really no way to stop it. you can scrap it off, but the next time the sun hits the wall it will bleed out again.

Sounds like you had a plant oil based stain, ( linseed, sunflower, safflower) which causes this with proper weather conditions

You really need to remove the Sikkens or it will continue to peel and take the new stain with it. Sherwin Williams Woodscapes can make a black stain for you.

Carpenter Bees normally will not compromise the logs. They are very hard to control and are more of a nuisance. An exterminator from the area would be able to help.
