Can only recommend Perma Chink to do it right. Try to google an old style chink recipe.
It will be fine to corn cob blast the cedar wood on your home. You just have to go over it a little quicker than the logs. You will have to experiment.
Corn cob blasting will not effect the interior chinking and would be the best way to prep the exterior for stain and chink. Call Mike at 866-670-3020 for help.
I always recommend budgeting $1500 to $2000 per year for maintenance on a 1500 sq ft house. You should take a hammer and walk around the house and inspect for rotten logs by taping on the logs. You will notice the difference in sound when you find a bad log.… Read More »Archive-752
Iwould recommend sanding starting with a hard grit like 36 and then smooth out with a 60 or 80 grit.
