Way to much bleach! Try using 1 cup of bleach and 1 cup of TSP in 4 gallons of warm water. Too much bleach is not good for the wood fiber.

Corn cob blasting will remove about 80% of the paint. You will have to grind the rest of it off with side grinders and 36 grit disc’s.

I would remove the bark for starters. It will be hard to stain and keep the stin off from the chink. It may be quicker to stain the entire home and then paint the chink lies or re-chink.

If you truly have no finish, you need to apply a good borate treatment on the exterior and interior. Shell Guard from Perma Chink is one of the best in my opinion.

Depending on the material that is on it already, you should be able to stain over the clear. Most good quality stains are designed to do this. Experiment.
