No, you will want to let it dry for 6 to 12 months before using it. All of the sap will come out of the wood and run down the wall with the high heat of a sauna without it being properly dried.

I would cut them as straight as possible then make sure they are attached properly on the top then shim the bottoms to make sure they are sitting good.

I think it would be fine. Just do not use paint. Use a good quality solid latex stain like Sherwin Williams Woodscapes. It looks like paint, but allows the wood to breathe.

Yes, you will need to fur strip it out and apply vapor barrier first. Also you will want to make sure that if there are any rotten logs that they are repaired first to avoid a structural issue later on.
