It should go away after it dries.
It needs to dry outside for 6 to 12 months. under roof or cover but sides open when drying.
Sounds like it is getting moisture in between the logs from the outside. It should be caulked completely on the exterior.

I wouldn’t recommend any of it. It will turn black.
