It would probably be easier to just remove log siding. Otherwise you will need to run fir stripping on top of log siding to apply vinyl to.

Try to cut a circle to match is the easiest way short of getting in there and removing the pieces with the hole and replacing. Not easy but can be done.

Call Ryan at 877-788-5647. They could put log siding on your addition to match the existing house logs.

Just attach it over the drywall, apply a clear coat sealer like Perma Chink’s Interior Acrylic (I’m assuming this is interior since you said sheetrock) then chink. You can call 800-564-2987 for the material you will need.

I would recommend some sort of insulation, maybe professionally installed spray foam.

You may want to caulk in between with Energy Seal caulk. I would recommend staining with a good quality latex stain. Nothing from the box stores. If you want low maintenance then go with Sherwin Williams Woodscapes Solid latex stain. Call 800-564-2987 for the caulk and stain options.
