It should be media blasted, corn cob or glass, then Osborn brushed and the have a good quality log home stain applied. I recommend LifeLine from Perma Chink. DO NOT powerwash it to strip.

Yes, the wood is drying out and everything is shrinking with the cooler temps.
It probably is fine, but if you are concerned I would have a structural engineer look at it.
Not sure what you are using to white wash. Call Dave at Timeless Wood Care Products at 800-564-2987 for his expert opinion.
Sand them all down back to good clean wood and then apply stain.
You will probably have to sand the logs back to clean wood. I would recommend having a mold remediation company look at it first to be sure it’s safe to sand.

You could put 1/2 log siding over it. you can buy it cheaply at Home Depot or most log home companies will sell it that is nicer material.

Different wood will always come out a different color with the same stain. You will have to try and apply a little darker color I’m guessing on the T&G to match the logs. They will not blend together over time.
